Australian violinist Glenn Christensen was born and raised in the regional Queensland town of Mackay, where he received his early music education through the Suzuki Method with local teacher Diane Powell. Glenn then studied with Michele Walsh at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Music, First Class Honours. He was also the first person ever to be awarded the three highest prizes – the Conservatorium Medal, the Music Medal and the University Medal.

Glenn is in demand as a soloist, chamber musician and guest principal musician in Australia and internationally. He currently holds the position of Deputy Concertmaster and Principal 2nd Violin with Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, prior to which he was a full-time member of the Australian Chamber Orchestra from 2014 to 2020, and Principal First Violin in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra from 2012 to 2014. He has recently appeared as guest concertmaster and director with Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Le Cercle de l’Harmonie, and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and his 2023/2024 season includes guest appearances as Principal 2nd Violin with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Associate Concertmaster of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Concertmaster of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Glenn was the Concertmaster of the Australian Youth Orchestra in 2012 and 2013 and an Australian Chamber Orchestra Emerging Artist in 2012. 

As a soloist, Glenn has performed with Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Australian Chamber Orchestra and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra on multiple occasions. He has had performance broadcast live on ABC Classic FM, was a finalist in the 2014 ABC Young Performer Awards, and in 2009 won every category in the prestigious Kendall National Violin Competition. Glenn is also the violinist in the Lyrebird Trio, which won both the audience choice prize and the Piano Trio prize in the 2013 Asia Pacific Chamber Music Competition.

Glenn has appeared at festivals and masterclasses around Australia and internationally, such as the Musica Viva Festival, Bangalow Festival, Port Fairy Spring Music Festival, Tyalgum Festival and the International Musician’s Seminar, Prussia Cove. In 2018, Glenn started a successful annual festival in his hometown - the Mackay Chamber Music Festival.

Lerida Delbridge began learning the violin at the age of three and at fifteen, commenced a Bachelor of Music as part of the Melbourne University Program for High Achieving Students, completing a Doctor of Musical Arts in 2003. In the same year, Lerida founded the Tinalley String Quartet, which, in its 20 year career was acclaimed as one of Australia’s preeminent chamber ensembles. The Quartet was awarded Grand Prize at the 2005 Asia Pacific Chamber Music Competition and First Prize at the 9th Banff International String Quartet Competition. The Tinalley String Quartet toured extensively throughout Europe, America and Canada; international highlights include appearances in San Francisco, New York, Toronto, London, Vancouver and Paris with performances in such prestigious halls as Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle, Vienna Musikverein, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Paris Musée d'Orsay and the Berlin Konzerthaus. In Australia, the Quartet frequently appeared at the country’s major festivals and recital halls including the Perth International Arts Festival, Adelaide Festival, Australian Festival of Chamber Music, Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Recital Centre, Ukaria and the Tasmanian Chamber Music Festival. As a member of the Quartet, Lerida released multiple, critically acclaimed recordings with DECCA Classics Australia and ABC Classics and was responsible for several new commissions by Australian composers including Nigel Westlake and Ade Vincent.

In 2013, Lerida was appointed Assistant Concertmaster with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. She has appeared as a guest Principal with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Auckland Philharmonic and Orchestra Victoria and has toured with the Australian Chamber Orchestra and the Australian World Orchestra.

Lerida has studied at the International Menuhin Academy; International Holland Music Sessions; Banff Centre for the Arts; International Musicians Seminar Prussia Cove, UK; Yale Summer School of Music and Stanford University.

Lerida plays on a 1793 Joseph and Antonius Gagliano violin, a gift from her father.

Justin Williams holds the position of Assistant Principal Viola with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and is the founding violist of the Tinalley String Quartet (TSQ). He has performed as Principal Viola with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian World Orchestra, Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra (AOBO), Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and Australia ProArte, and as ripieno viola with Australian Chamber Orchestra.

As a member of Tinalley String Quartet, Justin shared in the experience of winning the 2005 Australian Chamber Music Competition and the 9th Banff International String Quartet Competition. With TSQ he has toured extensively throughout Australia, Europe and North America and has released several recordings with Move Records, Decca Australia and ABC Classic.

As a composer, Justin released his ‘Movement for String Quartet’ in 2020, which has since been performed throughout Australia and in Europe by the Australian String Quartet. In 2022, Justin was the recipient of a Sydney International Piano Competition Composing the Future juror’s prize for his ‘Three Intermezzi’ for solo piano. In 2023, his set of songs ‘Three Pieces for String Quartet and Voice: Love – Despair – Hope’, was commissioned and premiered at Blackheath Chamber Music Festival, and his first Symphony was jointly commissioned by Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Sydney Symphony Orchestra and premiered by QSO under the direction of Maestro Umberto Clerici as part of the Brisbane Festival. At the beginning of 2024, Justin wrote a duo for violin and cello (Theme and Variations), and a piece for solo piano, commissioned by the Australian National Academy of Music.

Julian is one of Australia’s most versatile cellists and for the last couple of decades has toured Australia and the world with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, regularly performing in the world’s most prestigious concert halls and appearing on the ACO’s award-winning recordings.  Much in demand as a solo recording artist in a variety of genres, Julian’s performances can be heard in films including Sherpa, Tanna, Miracle on Everest, River and Musica Surfica and Sydney Dance Company productions ab [intra] and 2 One Another.  Julian recorded the solo cello Yidaki parts on Dr G. Yunupingu’s album Djarimirri, which was the first indigenous language recording to reach No. 1 on the Aria charts and also won the Best World Music Album ARIA.  Previously, in 1999, Julian won the Best World Music ARIA award for the album Fyvie’s Embrace.

Hailing from Canberra, Julian is a Fulbright Scholar and completed a Master of Music in the USA with Janos Starker and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi. He also studied at the Australian National University with Lois Simpson and David Pereira and at the Australian National Academy of Music.

Julian plays a 1729 Guarneri cello, kindly donated to the ACO by Peter Weiss AO.

Eliza Sdraulig is a Sydney-based cellist originally from Melbourne, Australia. Eliza regularly performs as a guest musician with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Opera Australia Orchestra and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. She has studied at The University of Melbourne, New England Conservatory (Boston, USA) and the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM). Eliza was an Emerging Artist with the Australian Chamber Orchestra in 2018 and a Fellow with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in 2019.

An avid solo, chamber and orchestral musician, Eliza has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and The University of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. She is a founding member of the Chroma Quartet and has performed at various festivals such as the Mimir Chamber Music Festival (USA), Australian Festival of Chamber Music and Huntington Festival.
